![]() Welcome readers! I'm here to tell you all about the marvelous things I have planned out for 2014. Right now I'm only going to talk about things I can assume I will be doing with reasonable certainty. First off, "An Eloquence of Time and Space" is still getting its art done, but should be released soonish. Second off, my short play, "Rex Stout Rings Again!" will be going on tour with some other plays for the Rivers Institute this summer. Third off, we get to the stuff you don't know about. Now we get to the exciting bits! I'm happy to announce that later this year I will be running a Kickstarter to put out my back catalog of completed works. Each book will have its cover done by a great artist/designer, and I've got a very good line up: 1. Cryptos, my first full length play (which was performed at Hanover) with cover art by Olivia Hinkel (Who I have been working with on "An Eloquence of Time and Space.") 2. "God Save the Pres.!", my second previously un-released full length play, with cover art by EN Hempstead (who I worked with on Cascade). 3. Yet to be titled short story collection, featuring my Novella "The Dark and Splendid Diary of Danielle Simpson", and other tales, with cover art by William Pruit 4. Yet to be titled collection of my short plays, featuring "The Tragedy of Hilarious: A Comedy" and "Butterfly Machinery" performed at Hanover College, with cover art by Sanctus Yi Shi. Fourth off, my first novel "Death and Doubling Cubes" a reworking of an earlier Novella I wrote will be released, though that might spill over into 2015 depending. Fifth off, I will be attempting a strange campaign to try to get the attention of the creators of the video game Hover to let me write a tie-in novel to their game. As a fan of Jet Set Radio, I have to attempt this, being that that game is its spiritual successor. Finally, and probably most excitedly for some, though it will make me no money, I'll be writing up an unauthorized non-fiction book to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of WARS. It will probably consist of a series of essays on various topics about the creation of WARS, and the nature of the WARS universe. However, I'm going to be realistic and note that while I'd love for this book to come out on or before October 6th, when WARS launched 10 years ago, since the book is unofficial and I'll be funding it out of pocket, basically as a labor of love, it very likely will get pushed back into 2015 just because of logistics. But I'll try to not do that. We'll see. Oh, and I almost forgot: I'll be releasing a weird book of dark poetry geared towards a mature audience at some point. But that's less important. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy one, some, or all of these projects! -Jim
